November 2017, Rivers Agile promoted Greg Hopkins from the role of Lead Software Engineer to Director of Engineering. In his new role, Greg will be responsible for leading the strategy of the software development department as well as leading policies and procedures to produce high-quality custom software services and products.

Greg has been with Rivers Agile since 2015 and brings with him a depth of knowledge through his past experiences. Before working at Rivers Agile, he spent time in various engineering and technical leadership roles at GE Healthcare, Highmark, and Nationwide Insurance. Additionally, Greg serves on the Technology Board for 412 Food Rescue, a local non-profit focused on using technology to reduce food insecurity in the Greater Pittsburgh area.
When asked about his new position, Greg said, “I am excited to take on this new challenge. Rivers Agile is an organization with a strong and capable team — one that I hope to grow with a focus on engineering culture and software craftsmanship.”
