As summer comes to a close, we’re taking a look back at August and what an incredible month it was for us at Rivers Agile. The celebrating started with our official 10 year anniversary that occured on August 18th. With the Bureau of Labor Statistics reporting that only “50% of small businesses will survive 5 years or more”, we’re proud and delighted to still be going strong. We appreciate the journey with both its triumphs and hurdles and look forward to a future of continued growth and success. In speaking about the anniversary, Rivers Agile CEO and Founder, Ben Wilson remarked, “We wouldn’t be where we are today without the tremendous skill and effort of our team of engineers and testers, as well as the energetic support of our clients who have continued to inspire us over the past decade.” He added, “We have proven and fulfilled the demand for an innovative solutions consulting company that was needed within the region. As true as day one, we will never be complacent, yet remain hungry for more. Rivers Agile will continue to be a thought and solutions leader as the Pittsburgh tech industry evolves.”
As we continue to pave our way into the future, we still remain true to providing high-end Quality Assurance, in both service offering and education. In honor of our commitment to QA and helping to accelerate its growth within the Pittsburgh tech community, we also hosted a celebratory and informative meetup event on August 29th, entitled “QAppy Hour: 10 Years + Beers with Rivers Agile”. Our celebration was held at the impressive Olive or Twist Lounge in Pittsburgh’s Cultural District. Attendees joined in an interactive presentation exploring the elevated role of QA, assessing the entire technology environment and addressing real world issues unique to our industry. It was a tremendous opportunity to celebrate, spread knowledge and connect with the vibrant testing community, clients and fellow colleagues who are passionate about Quality Assurance.
And our fellow colleagues and their families are truly the heart of what we do. We have built a fantastic organization and it’s important for our families to have vision into what we work so hard to be. Every year, Rivers Agile employees and their families take part in a company picnic, celebrated this year on August 31st at North Strabane Park’s McClelland Pavilion. Just in time for the Labor Day weekend, our family and extended families enjoyed sunny weather, music, outdoor games, a full-service “make your own” taco bar, a Justice League bounce house, and, most importantly, each other’s company. The company picnic proved to be the perfect opportunity to relax, and gatherings like this remind us why we work so hard.
August was a month filled with enthusiasm, appreciation, and inspiration. As we reminisce on the past month, as well as the past 10 years, our thoughts of gratitude are echoed by our CEO, Ben Wilson, saying that our friends, families and clients all share in our success.
